Third Rock wants to save the world, one rock at a time!

We started our operations in 2016 as a spin-off company of the research and analysis company T-Media. The hundreds of sustainability research projects and hundreds of thousands of corporate sustainability assessments T-Media has conducted prove the relevance of sustainability to business.

The climate crisis, increasing inequality, and the relevance of sustainability in business pushed T-Media to expand into sustainability consulting and advisory services.

Since 2016, we have had the privilege to advance and transform the business and operating models of dozens of organisations to be more sustainable, climate-friendly, and profitable.

We have helped organisations listen to their stakeholders, create a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable business, and tell their unique story. At the same time, we have been able to work according to our values: serving the planet and its inhabitants.

In August 2020, we established our slogan:

Serving You and Our Planet

Around the same time, our official name became Third Rock Finland Oy, and Leo Stranius, formerly the Executive Director of Citizen’s Arena, The Finnish Nature League, and the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation, became our CEO.

However, the roots of our company goes back even further in time. In 1997, our current partner and Chair of the BoardSari Kuvaja started one of the first Finnish companies focused on sustainability, Sari Kuvaja Signals. In the same year, Third Rock’s sister company T-Media was founded.

Our most important goal at Third Rock is to facilitate the shift to a more sustainable, carbon neutral, and circular economy that maintains biodiversity.

We support our clients in their sustainability work with the help of our continuously growing team. You can be a part of the change as our client, employee, investor, or partner.
